He addressed students receiving Juris Doctors, Master of Science in Jurisprudence degrees, and Master of Laws degrees.

Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti announced that Jason Navarino, a partner in the corporate and tax groups, was elected chair-elect of the Taxation Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. The announcement was made May 18, 2018, at the annual Bar Convention in Atlantic City. He is the current chair of the section’s International Tax Committee. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Tax Section, and he serves on several nonprofit boards.

Hutcheon Appointed Observer to ABA Business Law Section Beneficial Ownership Task Force Peter Hutcheon

Hutcheon, a partner with  Norris McLaughlin & Marcus in Bridgewater, was appointed one of three observers to the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Beneficial Ownership Task Force, which was created to develop the ABA’s position on disclosure of beneficial ownerships of business entities. Since 9/11, federal and state laws have been proposed and some adopted requiring disclosure of the persons who beneficially own businesses, and the task force is to examine the issue of making ownership information more available to law enforcement and national security personnel, while preserving as much privacy as possible.
