The U.S. Senate voted Thursday to confirm Richard Sullivan to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, with 79 in favor and 16 opposed.
Sullivan was nominated to the federal appellate court by President Donald Trump in April. He ascends to the circuit from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where he’s served since 2007, after being nominated by President George W. Bush.
