Practice Profile:  Muhammad practices in Patterson Belknap’s litigation department.  His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including disputes related to structured finance transactions, breach of fiduciary duty, international joint ventures, and fraud.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work:  Muhammad is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Capital Punishment Committee, which he chaired between 2010 and 2013.  He is currently the Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Executive Committee.  Muhammad’s work on pro bono matters include representation of Bayonne Muslims in the organization’s lawsuit against the City of Bayonne for its denial of a permit to construct a mosque, a death-row inmate in Missouri in post-conviction collateral review proceedings, and individuals seeking executive clemency from the New York State Governor.
