Erica Bond, who has served as a special advisor for criminal justice and public safety in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office since 2015, is set to be his next appointee to the Civilian Complaint Review Board, the city’s independent police conduct oversight agency.

“I think it’ll provide me a really wonderful opportunity to serve the city,” Bond said in an interview with the New York Law Journal Monday. She said she was honored to join the board, which she said plays a unique role in the relationship between police and the communities in the city they serve.
