A trio of New York lawmakers has asked the Department of Financial Services for a six-month delay on title insurance regulations slated to go into effect Monday.

In a letter to Superintendent Maria Vullo, the head of the Assembly’s Insurance Committee said members of the Legislature and industry officials have “serious concerns” about the title insurance regulations, born from a 2015 investigation by the department.
