Legal technology’s international presence has increased over the previous year. Joining the ranks is Russian legal services provider Pravoved, who announced on February 8 the launch of what’s being billed as a ‘robot lawyer.’
Geared toward the Russian general public, the technology is more high-functioning Q&A system than robot. Writing in plain-language Cyrillic, users can submit queries for consultation on consumer rights issues, such as purchasing a damaged cell phone or television. From there, Pravoved’s algorithm scours a data set with results for over 100,000 legal questions for relevant advice, with a current focus on consumer rights protection.
