ALBANY Addressing an issue of tort liability apportionment that had tormented the First Department, the Court of Appeals yesterday held unanimously that the convoluted and much interpreted Article 16 of the CPLR allows a negligent landlord to apportion damages against a nonparty intentional tortfeasor.
