With last February’s paltry 42 percent bar exam pass rate representing the lowest in 11 years, law graduates prepping for July’s dreaded event are working overtime to ensure that they will be among those who successfully complete the rite of passage.

More than 10,000 hopefuls in the State are expected to take the test this summer, with about 400 of those graduating from the two law schools on Long Island. And if July’s results are anything like February’s showing, plenty of law graduates will need to return for two more days of testing torture next winter.
