NEARLY FOUR years have been consumed in bringing the case of Darrel K. Harris, the first person sentenced to die under New York’s 1995 law re-instating the death penalty, to the New York Court of Appeals.
Many more will pass before the case is finally resolved, should the Court uphold the 1995 statute and Mr. Harris’ death sentence.
