In a cash and stock deal valued at about $3.7 billion, Indianapolis-based insurance provider Anthem Inc., announced on Monday that it had agreed to acquire Richmond, Va.-based Trigon Healthcare Inc. As a result of the deal, Anthem will gain about 2 million customers in the Southeast. Under the terms of the agreement, three of Trigon`s officers will obtain seats on Anthem`s board of directors. One of those officers, Tom Snead, Trigon`s chairman and chief executive officer, will also become president of Anthe
