ALBANY – For the second straight year, the Senate Judiciary Committee has advanced a bill that would result in juror pay parity and the state taking responsibility for the cost of paying jurors in town and village justice courts.
The difference, though, in the bill approved yesterday and the one vetoed last year by Governor Pataki is that the increase would be phased in over four years.
