PERSONAL SERVICE of process on President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe while he was in the United States was sufficient to obtain jurisdiction over Mr. Mugabe’s political party, Southern District Judge Victor Marrero has ruled.

Rejecting a request for reconsideration brought by the U.S. government, Judge Marrero said that his October decision allowing alleged victims of political violence to sue the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) would stand.
