RIVERHEAD – The $6 million civil lawsuit filed by the bouncer who claims he was Lizzie Grubman’s intended target the night she slammed an SUV into a crowded Southampton nightclub made a sharp U-turn last week when Ms. Grubman’s attorney went on the offensive, seeking sanctions against the bouncer’s attorney for purportedly frivolous and deceitful conduct.

John J. McDonough, of Cozen O’Connor in Manhattan, asserts in court papers that Christopher Modelewski used his longstanding relationship with Supreme Court Justice John C. Bivona to circumvent a judicial order and deliberately mischaracterized that relationship when questioned about it later.
