Surrogate AndersonESTATE OF MELPOMENI LIGAS, Deceased (12/1535/A) — This petition for leave to compromise causes of action for the conscious pain and suffering and wrongful death of Melpomeni Ligas, and to allocate and distribute the net settlement proceeds, is granted. Seven thousand two hundred thirty one dollars and eighty two cents ($7,231.82) of the proceeds shall be allocated to the cause of action for conscious pain and suffering and the balance shall be allocated to the cause of action for wrongful death in accordance with the terms of the petition.The restrictions imposed on the letters issued to the executor are removed. The executor is authorized to collect the settlement proceeds and to execute the appropriate receipts and releases.Attorney’s fees and disbursements are fixed and determined.The executor is authorized to pay $7,231.82 to Medicare in full satisfaction of its lien. The net proceeds shall be paid to decedent’s distributees as requested in the petition.The account is settled and the decree signed.Dated: June 18, 2018
