Practice Profile: Randall Jackson’s practice focuses on government and internal investigations, white-collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, and regulatory compliance. Widely considered one of the best trial lawyers to come out of government service in recent years, he served as lead or co-lead attorney in 17 federal trials, including some of the longest and most complicated recent federal trials.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Randall is one of the principals in an amicus brief filed pro bono on behalf of former prosecutors in support of Lorie Davis of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The U.S. Supreme Court reversed and remanded Buck v. Davis—six justices described the prospect that petitioner Duane Buck may have been sentenced to death in part because of his race as a disturbing departure from a basic premise of our criminal justice system. The justices sent the case back to the lower courts for additional proceedings that are likely to lead to a new sentencing hearing. He has also briefed and argued numerous appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeals.
