The New York City Bar Association dedicated a recently renovated room in honor of the late Judge Judith S. Kaye, former Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals, on Monday.

Judge Kaye, who passed away last year, was actively involved in the City Bar, having served on numerous City Bar committees. The City Bar awarded her Honorary Membership in 1995 and the Association Medal in 2008, recognizing her for having made exceptional contributions to the honor and standing of the bar and the advancement of justice in the community.

The renovation and naming of the room was made possible through the support of Judge Kaye’s children and the firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Proskauer Rose, and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, among others.
