On Thursday for the first time in New York’s history, three Asian-American judges sat on an appellate court to hear oral arguments.

The three judges, Justices Anil Singh, at left, Peter Tom, third from left, and Jeffrey Oing, at right, heard 23 cases along with Justice Angela Mazzarelli, second from left, at the Appellate Division, First Department courthouse in Manhattan.

Justices Oing and Singh were appointed to the First Department by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in May.
