A Manhattan jury has awarded $16.5 million to the estate of a deceased Long Island woman who used cosmetic talcum powder and who suffered from mesothelioma.

The jury awarded $15 million to the estate of Florence Nemeth, who used Desert Flower Dusting Powder and was 69 at the time of her death. It also awarded $1.5 million to Francis Nemeth’s husband, Frank Nemeth, for loss of services.
