An appeals court Thursday reinstated an action by a convict who claims a made-for-TV movie about his murder case violated a state law barring unauthorized, fictionalized portrayals for “purposes of trade.”
The 5-0 ruling by the Appellate Division, Third Department, reversed the April 2015 dismissal of Christopher Porco’s complaint by state Supreme Court Justice Robert Muller in Clinton County.
