Dozens of law professors have joined the fight over whether Uber Technologies Inc. can force consumers into arbitration on allegations that the company engages in algorithm-based price fixing.

A group of 51 law professors and a public interest group filed separate amicus briefs with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Tuesday urging the court to affirm a July ruling rejecting Uber and CEO Travis Kalanick’s attempt to enforce an arbitration clause.
