Two nephews of the first couple of Venezuela were too “stupid” and “clueless” to actually intend to arrange for 800 kilograms of cocaine to be shipped to the United States, their lawyers told a federal jury in Manhattan Monday.

Attorneys for Efrain Antonio Campo Flores and Franqui Francisco Flores de Freitas said the pair were no kingpins and were way out of their league as they met with would-be drug dealers actually in the pay of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
