Chief Judge Janet DiFiore has assembled a 15-member group that she says will study the Judiciary Article of the New York state constitution and determine whether staging a constitutional convention would benefit the courts.
DiFiore said the Judicial Task Force on the New York State Constitution will recommend whether making wholesale amendments to the constitution could result from a convention and improve the structure, organization and jurisdiction of the Judiciary.
