Southern District Judge Thomas Griesa on Monday withdrew his opinion disqualifying Baker & Hostetler and partner John Moscow from defending real estate companies accused of laundering the proceeds of a Russian fraud scheme.

Griesa held on Dec. 18 that Moscow and his firm must be disqualified because there was the very real possibility that the defense strategy in U.S. v. Prevezon, 13-cv-06326, would involve attacking Hermitage Capital Management Ltd., which Moscow represented for a few months in 2008 and for a month or so in 2009.
