A Nassau County Commercial Division judge has granted an order of attachment favoring a San Francisco-based investment fund that obtained an international arbitration award confirmed by a Singapore court against a Pakistani media company.
Justice Vito DeStefano said Passport Capital was entitled to the order because ARY Communications and its individual owners had failed to pay a 2012 arbitration award issued by a Singapore arbitrator in Passport’s favor.
