The U.S. Sentencing Commission has appointed Eric Tirschwell, a partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, as national chair of the commission’s Practitioners Advisory Group.
The group, composed of 17 attorneys throughout the country, provides the perspective of the private federal criminal defense bar on commission priorities and on proposed amendments to U.S. sentencing guidelines. It also disseminates to defense attorneys and others information about federal sentencing issues. The U.S. Sentencing Commission’s goal is to establish policies and practices for the federal courts.
