The jury weighing the criminal charges against three Dewey & LeBoeuf executives continued to show signs of confusion and possibly division Tuesday, asking the judge to explain the definition of “deliberation” and the role of jurors. Meanwhile, it asked to see all defense exhibits and hear a defense attorney’s closing statement.

Jurors failed to reach a verdict in their ninth day of deliberations in the criminal trial of Dewey chairman Steven Davis, executive director Stephen DiCarmine and chief financial officer Joel Sanders. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office claims they oversaw a scheme to manipulate Dewey’s financial figures to lure in lenders and investors.
