A disbarred personal injury lawyer has admitted to stealing client funds.
Manhattan prosecutors alleged Stephen Krawitz, a Manhattan solo practitioner, stole from clients. Krawitz pleaded guilty on July 29 to four counts of second-degree grand larceny and two counts of first-degree scheme to defraud. In his allocution, Krawitz said he stole more than $1.75 million from more than 50 clients.
