A Southern District judge on Monday denied Citizens United’s request for a preliminary injunction against New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s attempt to have the group disclose to his office a list of its contributors.
Judge Sidney Stein said Citizens United failed to show a “likelihood of success on the merits” of its arguments in an underlying suit attempting to block the attorney general from getting a list of donors that tax exempt and charitable groups file with the Internal Revenue Service.
