A lawsuit may proceed against a police training academy based on a woman’s allegation that it failed to give a “neutral” explanation when a prospective employer asked why she left abruptly after two weeks, a federal judge in Buffalo has ruled.
Western District Judge Michael Telesca decided that Edith Jordan raised a “genuine” question of fact about whether the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy at Corning Community College broke the terms of its settlement with Jordan after her truncated stay there.
