The Metropolitan Black Bar Association recognized several leaders in the legal community at its 31st annual awards gala Friday on Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.
From left, Reginald Rasch, general counsel and corporate secretary of Rakuten Marketing, who received the Corporate Counsel of the Year award; Dawn Reid-Green, president of the Staten Island Women’s Bar Association and Zenith Taylor, president of the Queens County Women’s Bar Association, who each received a Bar Leader of the Year award; Paula Edgar, president-elect of the Metropolitan Black Bar and principal of PGE LLC, a coaching and consulting firm; Taa Grays, president of the Metropolitan Black Bar and chief of staff to the general counsel at MetLife; Michele Roberts, executive director of the National Basketball Players Association, who received the Trailblazer of the Year award; and Ackneil “Trey” Muldrow III, a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, who received the Private Practitioner of the Year award.
