A state ban on the former chief executive officer of Parkway Hospital in Queens owning or operating a medical practice was not contrary to medical disciplinary laws, an Appellate Division, Third Department, panel has decided.
The 4-0 panel rejected Dr. Robert Aquino’s contention that the professional misconduct proceeding, which began after he was prosecuted by Southern District U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara’s office for bribing a state senator, overstepped its authority.
