The Appellate Division, First Department, accepted the resignation of attorney Antonio Johnson Tuesday, after he admitted failing to turn over from his IOLA account money he owed a client.
According to the appeals panel, Johnson admitted he deposited $92,500 in proceeds from the sale of a co-op by his clients David Adams and Ernestine Wallace-Adams in his escrow account but returned only $50,000.
