A federal judge has thrown out the claims of an itinerant Gospel preacher that the village of Lake George violated his right to free speech and free expression.

Larry Craft maintained in Craft v. Village of Lake George, 1:12-cv-1619, that he was ticketed for solicitation without a permit and for disorderly conduct in June 2012 as he tried to preach to a crowd during the annual Americade motorcycle rally in Lake George. While both charges were dismissed, Craft nonetheless claimed in his suit that the village’s ordinance against solicitation of funds illegally infringed on his constitutional rights.
