A Long Island attorney has been disbarred after resigning in the face of pending grievance committee probes.

The Appellate Division, Second Department, disbarred Edward Savran of Carle Place in a ruling released Wednesday.

Savran previously submitted his resignation acknowledging investigations into three pending complaints.

In one, Savran allegedly “failed to prevent or timely discover” that disbarred attorney Michael Schlussel established a law office in Savran’s name and then committed one or more professional violations in matters given to the bogus office.

In his resignation, Savran, a graduate of New York Law School admitted in 1982, said that if the grievance committee initiated proceedings against him, he could not successfully defend himself.

Presiding Justice Randall Eng (See Profile) and Justices William Mastro (See Profile), Reinaldo Rivera (See Profile), Peter Skelos (See Profile) and Plummer Lott (See Profile) decided Matter of Savran, 2014-02865.

Forrest Strauss appeared for the grievance committee.
