Squire Sanders resumed its vote overnight on the merger with Patton Boggs and is expected to conclude today, a spokesperson said Friday morning. It’s unclear at this time whether partners who had cast votes earlier this week could change their votes.

Earlier on Thursday, Squire Sanders suspended voting on the tie-up with Patton Boggs— hours before the merger was expected to be complete. A court filing in Manhattan, challenging Patton Boggs’ settlement with Chevron Corp., prompted the move to halt the vote.
