The restoration of the 1828 bust of Thomas Addis Emmet was celebrated in a rededication ceremony in the rotunda of Supreme Court at 60 Centre Street Thursday.

Emmet, the founder of Emmet, Marvin & Martin, was recognized as a leader of the New York bar, served as state Attorney General from 1812-1813 and argued important appeals, including ‘Gibbons v. Ogden,’ which established the principle of federal control over interstate commerce. Speaking at the ceremony was Administrative Judge Sherri Klein Heitler.
