Work has begun on the installation of the long-awaited security pavilion at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse at 500 Pearl St.
The pavilion, constructed on the elevated walkway running along the west side of the courthouse, is intended to streamline security screening at the courthouse and ease congestion inside the doors on the building’s Worth Street side. The General Services Administration secured $10 million for the project in 2013.
