A former attorney was sentenced to three years in state prison Wednesday in Onondaga County Court in Syracuse for his guilty plea to a child pornography-related felony. Martin Rothschild, 59, will have to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison and faces three years of post-release supervision under a plea agreement with prosecutors outlined at sentencing Wednesday by Judge Anthony Aloi. Rothschild, a personal injury attorney whose East Syracuse firm advertised heavily through Syracuse-area media outlets, pleaded guilty in April to one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a Class D felony. He was disbarred based on his felony conviction.
