An attorney has been sanctioned after missing two oral argument dates despite his self-described “zeal” for debate.
Eastern District Chief Judge Carol Bagley Amon (See Profile) fined Matthew Pek $500 on Oct. 31, saying in Shukla v. Sharma, 07-cv-2972 he “wasted the time and flouted the authority of this Court” with his failures to appear.
