As on-campus and call-back interviews with large law firms have been completed, offer letters from these firms are currently being sent to 2L law students, inviting them to participate in 2014 Summer Associate Programs. Choosing one among several (law firm) offers to accept can be one of the most important career decisions that a 2L law school student will make, as the summer associate program is the initial step in being hired by a law firm. This decision is equally important to 2L students who pursue summer associate programs with medium and small size firms, in-house legal departments, government agencies, non-profit organizations or with the judiciary.
