The Midtown Community Court, which opened its doors in Times Square in 1993 in an effort to provide alternatives to incarceration for low-level offenders, celebrated its 20th anniversary Monday at the Morgan Library & Museum in Manhattan. The court’s success paved the way for the founding of its parent organization, the Center for Court Innovation, in 1996.
