The Dutchess County Courthouse in Poughkeepsie was dedicated to former Court of Appeals Judge Albert M. Rosenblatt, arms outstretched, at a ceremony on Thursday. Standing in front of the plaque installed in the lobby to recognize Rosenblatt are, from left, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman; Rosenblatt’s daughter Betsy Rosenblatt; wife Julia Rosenblatt and former Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye.

Rosenblatt, 77, who retired at the end of 2006, kept chambers in the 110-year-old courthouse for the eight years he served on the state’s highest court. Before that, he worked there as a prosecutor, County Court judge and Supreme Court justice.
