The Fund and Committee for Modern Courts has thrown its support behind a proposed constitutional amendment that would increase the retirement age of Supreme Court and Court of Appeals judges.
Currently, Supreme Court judges must retire at the end of the year they turn 70, but can be certificated for three additional two-year stints. Court of Appeals judges must leave at the end of the year in which they turn 70.
