• Boris Bershteyn has rejoined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as of counsel, focusing on regulatory and enforcement actions by government agencies and litigation. Bershteyn held senior legal and regulatory positions at the White House and its Office of Management and Budget from 2009 to 2013.
• Avi Gesser, an official at the U.S. Justice Department, will return to Davis Polk & Wardwell in its litigation department as a partner, working with the firm's white collar criminal defense group. From early 2011 through August 2013, Gesser was a deputy director of the Justice Department, Criminal Division's Deepwater Horizon Taskforce.
