Ronell Wilson, convicted murderer of two undercover police officers, was formally sentenced in the Brooklyn federal court's ceremonial courtroom Tuesday to death by lethal injection.
Eastern District Judge Nicholas Garaufis imposed sentence in United States v. Wilson, 04-cr-1016, following a jury's July determination (NYLJ, July 25). Wilson was first sentenced to death in 2007 but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ordered a penalty phase retrial in 2010.
