Flatly rejecting a plethora of defense arguments alleging Ronell Wilson was unfairly condemned for murdering two detectives, Eastern District Judge Nicholas Garaufis (See Profile) said he will sentence the defendant to death next week.
"The court is convinced that Defendant Ronell Wilson's most recent trial was fair, reasonable, and comported with the law in all respects," Garaufis wrote in a decision released Wednesday. "The court will sentence him to death on Sept. 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Ceremonial Courtroom."
