A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by an Israeli charity against a J. Ezra Merkin-controlled fund that lost all of its money in Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
Finding that the suit was time-barred while noting that the charity may be able to replead some of its claims, Southern District Judge Paul Engelmayer (See Profile) dismissed the case, Keren Matana v. Merkin, 1:13-cv-01534, on July 30.
