Child pornography possessed by a sex offender in Manhattan so repulsed Acting Supreme Court Justice Jill Konviser (See Profile) that she not only relegated the convict to the highest and most restrictive classification allowed by law, but also suggested the defendant is an off-the-charts sexual deviant.
Konviser, in presiding over a dispute involving Ralph Labarbera's risk level designation, viewed and described in grisly detail 13 video recordings and nine still photographs depicting little girls, in some cases toddlers, in various states of sexual molestation and degradation. The judge was clearly disgusted.
