Ronell Wilson, a high-ranking gang member who murdered two undercover police officers, is a remorseless killer who would pose a danger to prison inmates, staff and even outsiders if allowed to live, prosecutors argued Tuesday.
By contrast, Wilson's defense denied in its closing statement at his penalty retrial that he was an influential gang leader and argued to a jury of seven men and five women that life without parole is sufficient punishment for a man whose upbringing was a "toxic stew" of drugs, alcohol, crime and violence.
