The Manhattan District Attorney's Office is continuing to oppose bail in the Gigi Jordan murder case, arguing that the defendant's 3 1/2-year pretrial detention has resulted largely from her own frequent change of counsel and plethora of motions that have delayed trial.

In a response Tuesday to the third defense motion for bail, prosecutors argue that none of the facts that led to Jordan's detention in the first place have changed and claim the defendant has "placed impediments to proceed to trial at every conceivable turn and now complains that the process she has invoked is taking too long."
